The A1 certificate is an important proof for business trips abroad. It documents that you are still subject to your home country's social security obligations, even if you work abroad temporarily. Applying for this certificate has never been easier than today, thanks to the sv.net/standard online portal. In this article, you can find out how to apply for your A1 certificate via sv.net/standard.

What is sv.net and what is the A1 certificate?

Sv.net is an online portal that allows companies and self-employed people to manage various applications and certificates related to social security online. The A1 certificate is a special document that is required for business trips abroad. It confirms that you are still subject to the social security laws of your home country, even if you work abroad temporarily.

Do I need a company number for sv.net?

The answer depends on whether you are an employer or self-employed person. In both cases, employers need a company number, while self-employed people do not need a company number.

How to apply for your A1 certificate via sv.net/standard

  1. Registration for sv.net/standard:
The first step is to register on the sv.net/standard login page with your company details. Click on the “Register new user” button and enter the required data. After you have clicked on the activation link in the email, you will receive your login details for the portal.
  2. Login with your login details:
Now log on to the sv.net/standard login page with your login details.
  3. Fill out the form:
In the “Forms” menu item, you will find the option “Application and Certification Procedure A1”. Click on it to access the “A1 Posting Request” form. Here you must provide information about the company, the person, the country of assignment and your professional activity abroad. If required, you can also select the activity code using the free text search field.
  4. Review and preview:
After completing all fields, you can check your details under “Check and Preview.” The system detects missing fields or incorrect information and points this out to you.
  5. Submitting the request:
Click on “Send” to send your application to the health insurance company or the responsible social security institution.
  6. Retrieve the A1 certificate in your mailbox:
In the next few days, you should check your sv.net mailbox to download and print your A1 certificate as a PDF. You can find your submitted applications under “Sent items”. Please note that for data protection reasons, the A1 certificate can only be retrieved once from sv.net/standard and is then deleted from the server.

Use sv.net/comfort for even more convenience

If you want to manage feedback on your A1 certificate applications even more efficiently, we recommend the sv.net/comfort desktop program solution. This application, which is free to download for your PC, allows you to save the feedback directly to your local database in the sv.net directory.

With sv.net/standard and sv.net/comfort, you have all the tools you need to easily apply for and manage your A1 certificate.

Please note that for data protection reasons, the A1 certificate can only be downloaded once via sv.net/standard. If you need the document again later, you should use sv.net/comfort. Make your life easier and ensure that your business trips abroad run smoothly.
